We have had a tradition since we moved to the east coast of visiting DC during the peak of the Cherry Blossoms. This year we decided to take a shortcut and go to Druid Hill Park, about 15 minutes from our house. Though it is a much smaller version of the cherry tree experience, it is still impressively beautiful. We went Friday evening for a picnic dinner and to take pictures with the blossoms. It was a gorgeous day and we were blessed to catch the weather just right as it rained the whole weekend. Here are some pictures our family outing.
