Last weekend (the 25th of September) we went to our cousin Ana Luisa (Luis' niece) and Arthur's wedding in Northern Virginia. It took some work to figure out people to watch our kids for the 10 hour event and get out the door that morning, but it paid off having a whole day without the kids. We had three shifts of people watching the kids. Thanks to Megan and Bruce, Yvonne and Zoe, and Jamie for making that day happen. We had SO much fun, maybe it was the freedom, but the wedding was phenomenal- great food- amazing hors d'oeuvres, wonderful dinner and delicious Peruvian cake (beautifully decorated) and a great DJ. I think a Latino/African-American wedding makes for a great dance floor. Eric and I danced like we have never danced before.
The next day, we went back down for a family cook-out.
The newlyweds graced us with their presence.
