The week and a half between Elliott's birthday and Adeline's arrival seemed long in someways, but flew by in other ways. The week included Elliott's 2nd birthday, garden madness and a momma who was ready to have that baby! Here's a peek at what we were up to:
On May 1st, Elliott's actual birthday, we went to breakfast at Pete's Grille, a Baltimore City breakfast and lunch landmark. Elliott loves pancakes! He raised both hands above his head and yelled pancakes when they put the plate in front of him.
Once Eric headed to work for their annual Gala, I ran errands with Elliott and his best buddy Caroline where we got to see this fire engine up close which might have made Elliott's birthday.
That night, we went to Chick-fil-A for dinner. It was kid's night and Elliott got to dance with the cow.
A few days later Elliott received another birthday present, a new red wagon from his Gogo and we had some happy campers that loved to sit in the wagon and watch "trucks" on netflix, which is a terrible 80's era construction show with terrible dialogue that Elliott just LOVES.
The other big project for the week was preparing for our neighborhood garden walk. "Why were you participating in a garden walk the week before you have a baby" you may ask! We don't have a very good answer except to say that Eric joined the neighborhood association board and felt compelled to contribute to this event that has struggled for the past few years (and truth be told we are kind of proud of our garden.) I hit up a few nurseries early in the week and bought up lots of mulch and plants for our garden.
We also took the chance, while we were dirty, to plant tomatoes and cucumbers in our raised bed
We didn't get a ton of pictures of our neighbors' gardens and I doubt that they would be very exciting to see but our neighbors keep amazing gardens! Here are a few pictures of our "walk".

Other than that, I stayed busy chasing Elliott, who is definitely in the midst of the "terrible twos" and got ready for the baby.

I looked huge and was super ready for this baby to get out!
