Longwood Gardens

Lidia, the kids, and I went back to Longwood Gardens, our favorite place to visit. They have over 1,000 acres of gardens, woodlands and meadows and 4.5 acres of heated greenhouses. Last October when Lidia was out, we went to the gardens on a cold rainy day so we were only able to explore the indoor portions. Last Thursday, though it was hot and humid, we were able to explore all the outer gardens. We walked miles and miles and the kids were troopers.

The Italian Fountain Gardens

The crazy big snake we saw, we freaked out a bit...
I am surprised we even managed to get a picture.

Some other cute critters we encountered
(to make up for the scary snake).

We took some time to relax, let Audrey run around a bit,
and enjoy the evening and these precious kids.

We ended the day in the Children's Garden. Audrey had a blast and while she got totally soaked again, this time it was nice to cool her off.
