Hurricane Sandy was a non-event for Baltimore city. We have been hit plenty hard in other storms, so we were prepared for the worse, but blessed to have been spared.
Our preparations
Pre-storm walk to get the kids out of the house one last time before two days of rain
Lots of time was spent playing in the fort and watching videos
Elliott seemed to like watching the "fast rain" more than videos
Not wanting to nap
We slept in the basement to play it safe, motivated by the tree that fell into our neighbor's house last June.
We were pleased to wake up the next morning dry, intact, and with power
Our post-storm walk showed...
leaves were the only thing that fell in our neighborhood.
