August 5th- 9th we spent at my Uncle Scott's house on Grandview Island in Hampton, VA (where my mom grew up). It is such a beautiful and peaceful place. The kids love it and they take great care of us.

There was a good amount of lounging.
And lots of beach time.
We explored Fort Monroe on a rainy day.
Adeline loved the clams once again!
She also loved their doggies!
Micky and Mini pancakes for breakfast, thank Aunt Laura!
Checking out the beach on a cloudy day.
Saturday, was a perfect last day at the beach with lots of wave time for the older two kids (and Eric).
Dock time at high tide
So gorgeous! A perfect getaway for our family!
Sunday, we headed back home stopping in Richmond again...
for a quick drive-by of my grandmother's old house....
and lunch with my Aunt Karen!
Our sunflower greeted us back home, towering over 8.5 feet tall!
