July 12th-19th

We drove home from Blacksburg, VA on July 12th and rolled into town just in time for Elliott to attend his best friend's birthday party.  

That week Audrey and Elliott participated in another VBS (this was #2 of 5- yep I was "that" mom this summer and have no regrets!)

I took Adeline and her buddy to a play area at another local church.  They have this space available for free during their normal business hours.

Our Playstation was fixed and returned without charge - a big much-needed win for the Lapointes.

The only causality was Frozen, oh well!

I did do this... not sure if I am proud or embarrassed, but I do love free food! 

They were extremely excited!  Audrey was at a playdate with her BFF, so she missed out.

Quick errand with these two

I took Adeline and Micah to the 4-H fair while the older kids were at VBS.

Eric took Audrey to the SoulCircus at the National Harbor

Friday, Eric and I went on a belated anniversary trip.  After four hours of driving from Annapolis (where the kids would spend the weekend with their grandparents), we arrived in the Poconos to this restored church that we found on airbnb.   It was cute, but once we arrived, we found that it was infested with fleas, 5-7 on us at once.  We decided that we would not be comfortable there.  We tried to find another place, but nothing came together.  We also were opting out of the hotel option because we had a cooler full of food, including $40 in steaks.  We ended up back at home for a staycation. 

We still enjoyed the weekend sans kids and were happy to be reunited on Sunday.  We had a little birthday celebration for Eric at his mom's house before heading home.
