Audrey's birthday lands on the 4th of July and every year she requests a Princess Party. We compromise with this competing holiday by throwing a Princess Party around her actually birthday, this time the day before. This year, we featured Sleeping Beauty.

We
read and acted out Sleeping Beauty. Elliott was the king and of course
the handsome prince, Adeline, baby Aurora, and Audrey was the old (mean)
fairy, then Princess Aurora. The other girls were the fairies and
towns people (who also fell asleep for 100 years). I was the narrator,
stage crew, and the Queen.

We had coloring time, lunch, then decorating cupcakes (cupcakes that Elliott seasoned with salt and pepper a half hour before the party). So much fun!
